Six Human Needs
Have you ever witnessed human behavior (whether someone else's or your own) where you asked the question, often in disbelief, "Why did they (I) do that?"
Over 30 years and literally millions of clients, Tony Robbins has determined that all human behavior (once survival needs are taken care of) can be explained as serving one or more of six basic human needs.
They are:
Certainty
Variety
Significance
Love/Connection
Growth
Contribution
He has also determined that all of us usually have two of these needs that dominate our behavior, AND that we have ways of satisfying those behaviors that can be constructive, counter-productive or downright destructive. Not only that, but sometimes these behaviors can work against each other, which often leads us to that feeling of being "stuck".
We will work on seeing how this paradigm applies to you, identifying conflicting patterns, and creating new patterns that are consistent with your goals.
